Scripture speaks often regarding a "whole heart". To mention the whole implies that one has only applied a certain amount prior that was not the whole. We must stop and be honest with ourselves. Have I given the Most High my whole?
We hear that David was a man after God's heart. So we should mention that Psalms is where the "whole heart" is written the most. David's heart posture was complete, entire and perfect towards the Most High.
How did David accomplish this wholehearted dedication? He was honest and continued to pursue the heart of Most High! He came bare even stripping his clothes off to show his sincerity. The intimacy of this relation is what he sought. Not a part time love affair.
You were asked to define your love in a previous post. I say again to do some self evaluation in preparation to answer honestly where you are. Reflect on the honesty of David towards the I AM. Never answer yourself to please the crowd or to say what you feel is the "right" answer. Seek the truth in your inward self.
This is the beginning of repairing and changing your heart. It is the beginning of your journey.
“Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, And that seek him with the whole heart.”
Psalm 119:2 KJV
“I will praise thee with my whole heart: Before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.”
Psalm 138:1 KJV
